The Process

How Your PCP Claim Works

Six clear steps from checking eligibility to receiving compensation — we assess your details and refer you to a specialist law firm who handles everything. All online. No win, no fee.

01

Check Your Eligibility

< 2 minutes

Fill in our short online form with a few details about yourself and your finance agreement — it takes under 2 minutes. We'll ask for your name, contact details, the lender's name, the approximate date of the agreement, and the type of vehicle. If you don't have everything to hand, don't worry — we can help track down the details. No win, no fee; free to start (see our Fees page).

We check agreements taken out between 2007 and 2024 for cars, motorbikes, and vans.

02

We Assess Your Details

1–3 days

Once you submit your form, our team reviews your agreement details for signs of a discretionary commission arrangement or other forms of mis-selling. We assess whether your claim appears viable before taking any further steps.

You'll receive a clear assessment of whether your claim looks eligible.

03

We Refer You to a Specialist Law Firm

Online, 5 minutes

If your claim looks valid, we refer your case to one of the specialist law firms on our panel — experienced solicitors who handle motor finance mis-selling claims. You will be sent a simple online eSign to complete, authorising the law firm to act on your behalf. All online, no phone calls required.

Our panel includes specialist firms authorised and regulated by the FCA and SRA.

04

The Law Firm Pursues Your Claim

Ongoing

The specialist law firm contacts your lender and manages the complaint process on your behalf, referencing the FCA investigation into discretionary commission arrangements. The lender is required to investigate and respond. The firm keeps you updated throughout.

Under FCA guidance, lenders have extended timescales to respond given the scale of the investigation.

05

The FCA Redress Scheme

2026

The FCA's £7.5bn motor finance redress scheme (PS26/3) has been confirmed and is now live. Eligible consumers, including those represented by a law firm, will receive compensation through the scheme. Deadlines apply — Scheme 2 closes June 2026, Scheme 1 closes August 2026.

Submitting your details now means you are in the process ahead of the deadlines.

06

You Receive Compensation

Variable

If your claim is successful, you will receive compensation. Our success fee is deducted from the compensation amount — you never pay out of pocket. If the compensation is used to offset an existing debt with the lender, our fee may still apply even if no cash reaches you directly.

This debt-offset scenario is explained fully in our Terms of Engagement before you sign.

Common Questions

What if my claim is unsuccessful?

If we don't recover any compensation for you, you pay nothing. Our no win, no fee model means our success is tied directly to yours.

How long does the whole process take?

The submission takes under 2 minutes. The lender review and FCA scheme opening timeline means full resolution could take 12–24 months. We will keep you updated throughout.

Do I need the original finance documents?

Not necessarily. We can help you gather information about your agreement. The lender is required to hold records of your agreement and to provide them on request.

Can I claim for multiple vehicles?

Yes. If you had multiple PCP or HP agreements between 2007 and 2024, you may be eligible to claim on each one. We can refer multiple agreements to our panel law firm in a single process.
